Conclusions and actions from the meeting
List of action to be co-ordinated by TE-ABT:
  1. Check the need of additional vacuum pumping and whether there could be issues with outgassing in particular for future ions runs.

  2. Check the proposed layout of the shield with transport, including also the availability of concrete blocks at CERN and the total charge of the shielding. The layout should be optimised in order to minimise the dose delivered to personnel during intervention (i.e., easy dismantling of the blocks). In particular, it should be checked whether non-standard dimensions could be useful to provide easy access for the downstream part of the shielding.

  3. The emergency system to move the dummy septum blade should be controlled by one single crank.

  4. Scenarios concerning possible interventions on the dummy septum should be defined. these will then be used to estimate the dose delivered to personnel.

  5. It should be checked what is the status of MMU14 and MMU15 in terms of recent refurbishment.

  6. the final layout of the dummy septum should be circulated for impedance estimate. It seems from preliminary computation that trapped modes might require ferrites to be installed. If confirmed, impact on vacuum should be checked.
