Main items

Conclusions and actions from the meeting

  1. The detailed analysis of the dose delivered during possible interventions on the dummy septum is an excellent starting point. It has been highlighted during the meeting that some of the assumption are a bit too conservatives, e.g., removing the clamps will be done with the shielding in place and the vacuum leak detection will be done with a special device that allows the operator to be at a distance from the flange. All this will be reviewed in a following meeting.

  2. The MTV proposal is progressing well. The saturation of the screen can be dealt with by using a marguerite with optical filters. It is proposed to check whether it is possible to avoid making a cut in the blade to create a stop to the screen (Action: BI). The final screen dimensions will be provided (Action: ABP).

  3. A reviewed layout of the shielding has been proposed. During the meeting it was suggested to reduce the number of blocks used in order to improve the stability of the structure. The list of blocks to be used will be circulated soon in order to check availability and other details (Action: TE-ABT).
