Main items

Conclusions and actions from the meeting

  1. Status of MTV:

    • Overall tests in local configuration where successfully performed.

    • The marguerite is working fine, even if the filters will be installed later on.

    • Next tests or actions to be performed (Action: Stephane)

      • The video signal transmission should be checked.

      • The panel with the equipment for the pneumatic system is installed on the inner side of the shielding: it should be checked whether there is a possible conflict with the removal of the main bus bars cover.

      • A general test controlling the device from the CCC should be performed.

      • The camera should be re-oriented with the dummy septum blade in its nominal position, i.e. 87 mm from the circulating beam.

  2. TPS15 blade movement tests:

    • The movement system has been successfully tested and commissioned.

    • The target accuracy of 100 mm has been almost achieved after having performed a number of detailed tests and improvements.

    • Next tests or action to be performed (Action: Mike, Pieter)

      •  The blade position should correspond to the position of the inner surface of the blade, i.e., the one facing the circulating beam.

      •  The upstream blade position should be given at the upstream extremity of the blade and not at the position of the motor moving the blade. The same applies to the downstream blade position.

      •  In the CCC we should control the upstream (as defined above) blade position and the blade angle. The downstream blade position should a read only parameter that can be used to check the consistency of the upstream position and angle.
